211 Contra Costa is operated by the Contra Costa Crisis Center; however, it’s really a collaborative effort. Partnerships with many agencies—public and private—is critical to ensuring that 211 calls are answered efficiently and effectively.
The California Public Utilities Commission, in accepting applications from potential 211 providers, recognized the collaborative nature of 211 by requiring applicants to obtain written endorsements from agencies in diverse fields of service. Below are some of the agencies that supported the Crisis Center’s 211 application. We’re now working with them and with other local agencies to provide the best 211 service possible in Contra Costa County.
